With this coronavirus pandemic I don't feel safe. I am always stressed about me and my loved ones. I am practicing every necessary instruction but still I cannot find peace. It has become so much that I cannot sleep at night or focus on any activity. I am constantly washing hands, cleaning the house or watching the news. Please help me?

At times like these, feeling anxious, worried or stressful is natural.  These are uncertain times and we do not know for sure - how the situation will unfold.  At a time like this - it will help if you speak to a counsellor. If there are some issues that need looking into - these will come to the fore. The counsellor can then guide and help you accordingly, at the very least - just speaking to someone will help. Follow the government guidelines (as you are already doing) and stay safe.

you are feeling insecure & at loss of control. Hence, you are having anxiety and experiencing stress.  you're trying to cope by washing hands, cleaning, loss of sleep and so on.  you can try out these activities: a) talk to others and freely express your feelings & thoughts b) try to do things that are meaningful - completing the previous work, hobbies etc. c) try to have control on things around - like buying the necessities and so on. Try the above steps and do get back as to how you feel
