We feel this way - when 1. we feel nothing is going right for us or 2. however much effort we put in, things don’t seem to go our way or 3. we are just fed-up with the way - our life is panning out right now. During our waking hours we are distracted with many things – therefore the above thoughts get pushed into the background of our mind and we don't really think about them. BUT when we sleep and wake up – our mind is NOT YET or LESS distracted by the outside things and the above thoughts come to the fore - hit us straight in the face and we feel depressed. FOR THIS WE NEED TO: 1. define our goals and dreams in life 2. make a plan of action (or two) and 3. diligently work towards fulfilling them. Putting in our best efforts with diligence - will help us overcome many obstacles that come our way. Once you start working on this – the depressed feeling on waking up should reduce or just vanish. However, if you feel the need to speak to a counselor – please do so... it can help.
