Whenever I am angry I feel like hurting myself even when I don't want to but doing so makes me feel good. Is it normal??

When one is angry - it is natural and healthy to vent it out "appropriately" . Right now you are venting it out on yourself - which you must avoid. For that we need to look at two things: 1. Is there anything specific - that is making you angry? and 2. The reason why are you venting it out on yourself. For e.g. 1. do you feel that you are to be blamed for the situation and therefore - you're punishing yourself or 2. you find it easier to vent it out on yourself - no risk of breaking any furniture or retaliation from someone. Maybe there's something deeper that needs to be looked into... I feel speaking to a counsellor will help you resolve and redirect your anger towards more creative avenues...
