I have recently been given a new project at work and I feel it is very demanding as the work load is too much and I am not able to manage my time and invest my energy in activities that I like. This is also affecting me emotionally. What should I do??

In my view, we are most productive when we are happy, content and not under pressure. Right now you are unhappy, pressured and it will affect everything you do. I feel you should speak to your higher-up(s) and explain the situation as it stands. There are many things you may have to consider, viz. how important the project is for your career, how important it is for your company, can anyone else do it, etc. Only with dialogue can the situation be understood and a mutually beneficial solution/alternative be arrived at. There is no need to work under stress, in the long run it will affect your health and emotional well-being. Speaking up with an ATTITUDE towards finding a mutually beneficial alternative in mind, will help.
