The most foolproof way - is to face your issues head-on. You will have to get down to the bottom of the "WHY" you feel hopeless, anxious and tensed - amidst this pandemic. As to - What will happen next? What do you feel is the worst that can happen - take it from there... sit quietly evaluate your options, your possibilities, etc. what you can do, anything additional you will need to do and so on... Only by taking the bull by its horns can you face this issue - hold on to the thought that - you will never give up till you find a way out. If you feel you need to talk to a counselor, please do so - it will help you...

Thanks for reaching out to Rich Psych. You have written you had panic attacks . At present you are feeling anxious and depressed.you have stated you cannot connect with your friends . In this kind of situation ,you have to accept the situation and try to be calm. More you have negative thoughts, more depressed and anxious you will be . Try to take safety measures. Try to do something which makes you relaxed. You can walk in your own space, do some free hand exercise, watch your favourite movie or serial on tv. Do which us under your control. Do not dwell on things which are not under your control like stopping the spread of disease. Think of things which makes you feel better, keeps you safe. Stillness or calnness of mind is very important in this situation. Do not think negative, do not read or watch news on covid more than once, keep exercise in daily routine, you can practice deep breathing ( after practicing from Counsellors), you must try to connect with people who inspire you or give you hope . If you think you need to talk to a counsellor, you may book a session !
