Depression is not something that cannot be overcome. It's just that you need to take control of your emotions than letting your mind take control of it. The best way to deal with depression is to show it that you can survive. Try to indulge in activities you like doing, follow a hobby of yours, do something that makes you happy, read novels, go for evening walks with a family member or a good friend, share your sorrows with your friends or your family people, go for a short vacation, do drawing and painting if you like to do it, down quality time with your siblings and parents. There are many things we can do to overcome, all to have to do it stand up and fight it back. If you still need help, then come visit us here and we will help you out!

To me depression is - that you are not happy with the way life is working out for you right now. There are changes you would like to make, but it seems an uphill task, so - how do we start? Start by doing small things that will make you feel good - changing the little manageable things you can change but haven't got around to doing so. Example - a good diet, a good exercise routine, a small change in your wardrobe, etc. Then you can start tackling the bigger things - like really stepping out of your comfort zone and doing the things you really want to do but have not yet acquired the courage to do so like - making new friends, meeting new people, joining a social group, etc. Being enthusiastic about life - entails having the courage to "be yourself" and doing what you really want to do. Just take one small step at at time. One small change at a time.
